Gábor Szohr, born 1976 in Budapest (Hungary), studied landscape architecture at Szent István University, and Universität für Bodenkultur in Wien. While attending university, he was working as a architectural model designer. In 2000 he has co-founded with six fellow friends their office Újirány Group, which practise aims to reflect on new urban challenges drawn up by the ever changing world around us and to set up new directions and possibilities of development. As a designer he places great emphasis on the importance of effective communication with local residents, the main users of the space.
